The AVIRAMA Foundation was born from a profound hope – a collective aspiration among young individuals to forge a truly livable Earth for all. This impactful journey began humbly in March 2022, not as an institution, but as a simple yet powerful idea: to democratize knowledge on sustainability. It launched with a dedicated website, publishing free, accessible, and easy-to-understand articles aimed at demystifying complex environmental issues and the latest developments in sustainable practices.

The initial response was remarkable. What started as an informational hub quickly blossomed into a vibrant community. Our audience, initially drawn as readers from the website and Instagram, soon began inquiring about opportunities for deeper engagement. They yearned for practical involvement, eager to learn more about sustainability firsthand. It was this passionate demand, sparked by a pivotal suggestion from an Instagram follower, that led to the creation of the Talk Sustainable community. Launched in June 2022 with its inaugural Batch #1, this community marked the true beginning of our grassroots movement.

For nearly three years, the Talk Sustainable community thrived, growing exponentially and collaborating dynamically with a diverse network of partners. From esteemed institutions and non-governmental organizations to leading universities, innovative startups, and impactful social enterprises, our collective reach expanded, and our influence deepened. Witnessing this burgeoning impact, the founders recognized an undeniable call to elevate their commitment. To truly solidify their efforts and achieve an even more tangible, far-reaching impact, the evolution into a formal institution became imperative.

This vision culminated on April 15, 2025, with the official establishment of the Yayasan Avirama Literasi Berkelanjutan, now proudly known as the AVIRAMA Foundation. This pivotal moment was formalized with the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number AHU-0006682-AH.01.04.Tahun 2025. The transition into a legal entity as a Foundation is more than just a formality; it unequivocally signifies our enduring, long-term commitment and our amplified capacity to drive broader, systemic impact in realizing a sustainable and thriving planet for generations to come. It’s a testament to the power of youth-driven passion transforming into organized, impactful action.
